Marineland Mallorca is a marine park in Costa dโen Blanes, on the south-west coast of the island, between Portals Nous and Palmanova. It opened in 1970 and was one of the first dolphinariums in Spain. Where is Marineland Mallorca?
Marineland is in Costa dโen Blanes, in the municipality of Calviร , about 10 to 20 minutes by car from Palma de Mallorca. Itโs sometimes listed as Marineland Palma Nova or Marineland Magaluf, because those two resorts are just down the coast. Marine animal shows
The shows are the main highlights of a visit, and theyโre included in your ticket. There are three kinds of presentation, with dolphins, sea lions and exotic birds. Show times follow a daily schedule that changes with the season, so plan the rest of your visit around them.
The dolphin show
The dolphin show is the reason most families come. It takes place in the large salt-water pool of the dolphinarium, twice a day in the main season. The park is home to 11 bottlenose dolphins, and youโll also meet its sea lions and seals here. Get to the stands early in summer, because the best seats fill quickly.
Sea lion shows
The sea lions are the comedians of the park. Their presentation shows off their agility in the water and on land, and younger children usually love it as much as the dolphins. Like the dolphin show, itโs built around education as well as entertainment.
Parrot shows and exotic birds
The bird show features parrots and other exotic birds. Itโs calmer than the marine shows, so itโs a good one for toddlers who find the dolphin show too loud.
Show and feeding times
Until 1 November 2026, the Great Dolphin Show starts at 12.20pm and 4.20pm, and the sea lions perform at 12pm and 4pm, just before the dolphins. The Infinity Parrot show with exotic birds runs at 11am and 2pm. In between, you can watch the keepers feed the Mediterranean fish, the seals, the penguins, the marmosets and the animals in the tropical house.
From 7 November 2026 to 21 March 2027, the park follows a shorter winter programme. Thereโs one parrot show at 11.30am, one sea lion show at 12.30pm and one dolphin show at 12.50pm, with feeding times for the seals, sea lions, fish and penguins spread through the morning. If youโre coming in winter for the dolphins, plan a morning visit.
Aquariums and the tropical house
Between shows, walk through the aquariums. There are four large tanks. The three marine aquariums recreate the Indian and Pacific Oceans, with clownfish, surgeonfish, butterflyfish, colourful coral and a large sea turtle. The fourth is a big Mediterranean aquarium with rays, guitarfish, meagre and sea bass, the same species that live in the waters around the island.
The tropical house
The tropical house is a small indoor world of reptiles and amphibians, and itโs one of the favourite stops with kids. Here youโll see boa constrictors, iguanas, chameleons and brightly coloured poisonous frogs, as well as marmosets, the tiny monkeys that children love. Itโs warm and humid inside, so itโs a nice contrast on a cooler day.
The aviary, penguins and flamingos
Marinelandโs aviary is one of the newest corners of the park, planted with trees so the birds can build nests and raise their chicks. Youโll find lovebirds, turacos, sacred ibises from Africa and cockatoos, with tortoises wandering below. Flamingos of two species and a group of penguins live nearby, and penguin feeding time is one of the cutest moments of the day. Itโs an easy walk, and a good place to slow down between shows.
The childrenโs pool and mini park
Marineland isnโt a water park, but it has a childrenโs pool area with small slides, fountains and a pirate ship. Around it thereโs a picnic area and a large terrace with loungers and parasols, so adults can relax while the kids splash about. Pack swimwear and a towel if youโre visiting in summer.

Dolphin experiences and interactions
On top of the standard ticket, Marineland offers several paid interactions with the animals. You can book a dolphin encounter, a photo with the dolphins, a sea lion interaction or Trainer for a Day, the most complete experience, where you spend time behind the scenes with the keepers. Places are limited and availability changes, so book ahead if this is the main reason for your trip.
Marineland doesnโt offer swimming with dolphins. The experiences let you meet the animals up close under the guidance of the parkโs trainers.
Marineland Mallorca tickets and opening hours
Children under three go free, and there are family packs, flexible tickets and combined tickets with Western Water Park. Booking online is the easiest way to plan your visit date. From May to October, Marineland also sells tickets with a bus included from several parts of the island, such as Calviร , the north, the east coast, Calas de Mallorca and Cala dโOr, on set days of the week.
Marineland is open daily for most of the year, but the hours change with the season. Until 1 November 2026 the park opens from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm. From 7 November 2026 to 21 March 2027 it opens from 10am to 3pm, and the ticket office lets in the last visitors at 12.50pm, so a winter visit has to start in the morning. Times can change, so check them shortly before your trip.
How to get to Marineland Mallorca
By bus, TIB lines 104, 106 and 107 between Palma and Magaluf, Palmanova and Peguera stop at Marineland in both directions. Buses run frequently in summer, and itโs the easiest option if youโre staying along the bay. A taxi from Palmanova or Magaluf is a short, simple ride.
If youโre driving, take the Ma-1 motorway west from Palma towards Andratx and leave at the Costa dโen Blanes exit, about five minutes from Palmanova. Parking is free for Marineland visitors - just ask for your car park ticket at the entrance ticket office. With a hire car, itโs also easy to combine Marineland with an afternoon on the beach in Palmanova or a day trip to Valldemossa.
How long do you need at Marineland?
Most families spend three to four hours at Marineland. Thatโs enough to see the dolphin, sea lion and bird shows, walk through the aquariums and the tropical house and let the kids play in the pool. If you arrive in the morning, you can be back at your hotel or on the beach by mid-afternoon, which makes it an easy half-day trip.
Food, drinks and facilities
The restaurant and cafรฉ share a large terrace facing the sea, with pizzas, burgers, combination plates, salads, snacks and ice creams. Thereโs also a picnic area by the childrenโs pool and a gift shop for souvenirs. Some tickets add a discounted menu of the day, which saves time at lunch. Bring sun cream and hats, as much of the park is outdoors and the stands can be hot at midday. Pets arenโt allowed in the park.
Is Marineland Mallorca worth it?
